Recession; Playing On Your Fears
There are some who would like us to believe that we are headed straight for a recession. Most of the talk has come from liberal voices in
Some would point to the fact that retailers Christmas sales were down by about 7% this year. It’s interesting; however, that those that give us the gloomy report fail to let you know that retailers experienced a 2.2% overall growth this year. That’s HUGE!
Others claim that the unemployment rate reaching 5% is evidence of a poor economy. The truth is that while the rate has risen; for years 5% was a target unemployment rate. Did you know that in
What about the housing slump? Well it would seem that greedy banks took advantage of people who should have never been approved for a loan in the first place, giving them bad ARM loans. Instead of continuing to cut the interest rate why don’t we just lower taxes? The more we have in our pockets the more we have to spend, or pay bills.
The truth is that in any economy there are ebb and flows; ups and downs. Occasionally the market needs to correct itself. Our economy is fine. Americans are buying Huge Plasma TV’s, $4.00 coffee at Starbucks and $1,000 Hannah Montana tickets. Don’t believe everything you hear in the news, especially during an election year.

This is so true, Bryan. I get so tired of hearing about our country’s economical “crisis.”
It sucks that I can’t afford a $1800 a month house payment. I know that I can’t afford that, so I don’t allow a real-estate agent, mortgage company, or anyone else talk me into it. I guess America sucks…if you don’t pay your bills then Hillary’s government (our tax dollars) will pay them for you. Then you can live in a $300,000 house using my tax money while I live in a $200,000 house.
I am starting to believe that our country is made up of mostly idiots.

You’re right Josh. It all comes down to greed. Greed from the lenders giving out bad loans and greed from consumers not being content with what they have or what they truly can afford.
