Warner-Lieberman bill will raise gas prices.

By Bryan • on June 3, 2008

It’s hard to believe that gas prices can go up even higher, but this time it may be due to the all knowing Senate. The Senate begins debating the Warner-Lieberman bill Tuesday. The bills intent is to cut greenhouse gas emissions to 65% below 2005 levels by 2050. It will impose a cap amount of greenhouse gas that industrial sectors can release. Companies that exceed the cap can purchase emission allowances from greener business.

The bill will act like a tax on carbon dioxide for refiners.  Those taxes will be passed on to the consumer; rasing the cost of gas.

Those who practice the enviromentalist religion must not be satisfied with paying $4.00 a gallon for gas. As they bow to their leader Al Gore, they seek new legislation to combat the supposed global warming issue, but all the while taking money out of our pockets.

The fascinating thing is that according to American Solutions.com ”73%  of the American people agree that with appropriate safeguards to protect the environment, we should drill for oil off America’s coasts to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.”

If only 27% of Americans are against drilling in America then why is there an overwhelming fear and resistance of it. If one listens to the Media the entire country is against drilling. Perhaps the media is the problem. They can push their agenda on the American people at will.

If you find yourself in the 73% it’s time to be heard. Call you Senator, let them know that you do not support Warner-Lieberman. Tell them you want to Drill Here, Drill Now, and Pay Less. You can get your Senator’s contact information by going to Congress.org.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease–or in this case, stops the drilling. We’re so sensitive to everyone’s whims in this country we can’t do anything that a wild bunch of shrieking liberals takes offense to.
