Obama Set To Give DNC Acceptance Speech on Anniversary Of “I Have A Dream Speech”

By Bryan • on August 28, 2008

The Obama Love Fest comes full circle tonight as Obama is set to give his acceptance speech on the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s, “I Have A Dream Speech.” Obama will undoubtedly make reference to the speech as he is the first African-American to lead a major party ticket for the presidency. One can’t help wonder if he will omit the line, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Obama has continually asked us to ignore his character and in fact any criticism of his character reveals our supposed suppressed racism.

I myself have a dream. That one day Democrats and Liberals will come to their senses and see their socialist ways. I have a dream that abortion will be illegal and a sense of compassion and responsibility will return to our youth. I have a dream that one day I will be able to take home more of what I make instead of giving it all to Uncle Sam. I have dream that one day we will drill for oil and become independent of foreign oil. I have a dream that Democrats and Liberals will see past the color of skin and judge by character alone. We can all dream.

Great post. I like your dream a whole lot better than the Democratic party’s dream.
