Who Won The First Debate; Obama or McCain?
Due to the economic happenings of the day, the first debate was separated into two parts. The first part was the economy. I thought both candidates did well with this issue. Obviously Obama supporters will say Obama won the debate on the economy and McCain supporters will say otherwise. McCain is right, we need to stop government spending and lower taxes. We need less government, not more. Obama has a socialist plan for the economy and can’t be trusted with it.
The second part of the debate was on foreign policy. Even Obama supporters would have to acknowledge that McCain has Obama beat on foreign policy and national security. McCain slammed Obama several times on his inexperience when it comes to these issues.
I’m amazed that Obama will still not admit that he was wrong about the surge. We need a president who is not too proud to admit when he is wrong.
The highlight of the debate was when McCain somewhat mocked Obama’s wishes to talk with Ahmadinejad.
MCCAIN: “So let me get this right. We sit down with Ahmadinejad, and he says, “We’re going to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth,” and we say, “No, you’re not”? Oh, please.”
CNN and MSNBC polls will have Obama as the winner of the debate, but those who knew what to look for know that McCain won.

McCain is supposed to be so experienced. He should have taken Obama out and he dident. Obama held his own. He showed he knows just as much as this old fart. McCain is stuck in the past. Somebody ask McCain What have he done for us lately? Obama is a new clear breath of fresh air. McCain is more of George
Bush. We need help now.

Senator Obama kept insisting during last nights debate that Henry Kissinger said that the President of the United States should meet with the leader of Iran.Senator Mccain insisted Kissinger would never say that.Who was telling the truth? After the Debate Kissinger released the following statement:
“Senator McCain is right. I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. My views on this issue are entirely compatible with the views of my friend Senator John McCain. We do not agree on everything, but we do agree that any negotiations with Iran must be geared to reality. “
Senator Obama recently voted for tax increases for those making less than $32,000.Senator McCain did not.Senator Obama voted not to provide funding for babies born alive who were aborted,Senator Mccain voted for funding.Time after time McCain stood up for the people of our country.Obama voted “present” over 100 times while in the Senate. Not a yes nor a no but present!
I am very uncomfortable with the company Obama keeps. He is friends with and bought property at a huge discount from shady slum landlord Tony Resko who is now serving a prison term.Obama is also friends with terrorists William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, the Weather Underground who have never said they were sorry for what they did in the 60’s. Jim Johnson, recently on Obama’s VP search committee, has hauled in millions from his Fannie Mae CEO job.All crooks or terrorists.
Obama sat under a racist Pastor for twenty years, the Rev Wright, who he credited with being his mentor, who married Obama and his wife and christened their children, and states “I never heard anything anti white, anti American in the twenty years I have been a member of this church” etc. This position was changed when the media found tape after tape of sermons spilling over with hate.Only then did Obama distance himself from Rev Wright.
After carefully looking at both mens records and characters I find Obama to be lacking in sound moral judgment.A lot can be said for the company a man keeps.Obama is eloquent and gives great speeches. He knows how to play to the people. He is a wolf in sheep clothing .
Both did well last night. There was no clear winner.I believe more people will watch the Palin/Biden debate on Oct2nd then watched last night. That debate will help one or the other candidate more then the next two Presidential debates.
