According to the Zogby Polls McCain might be on the move. McCain outpolled Obama on Friday 48% to 47%. Here are Zogby’s remarks.
From John Zogby
“Is McCain making a move? The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama today, 48% to 47%. He is beginning to cut into Obama’s lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all. “Obama’s lead among women declined, and it looks like it is occurring because McCain is solidifying the support of conservative women, which is something we saw last time McCain picked up in the polls. If McCain has a good day tomorrow, we will eliminate Obama’s good day three days ago, and we could really see some tightening in this rolling average. But for now, hold on.”
Keep in mind that this is just one day. This race will still be very close and McCain still has his work cut out for him. This does however show that the Obama campaign along with their supporters (namely the media) should stop claiming victory until the election.
Another interesting note that the media has been ignoring is an exit poll from early voting in Florida. A Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll gave McCain a 49-45 lead over Democrat Barack Obama among Floridians who have already voted.

I wonder why noone continues to comment here now on teh Zogby polls; is it because Zogby now shows Obama’s lead increasing? Oh no, I forgot, it is the IBD/TIPp poll which is the most reliable poll today, only a 2.2% margin.
For me this selective reading of polls is just a symbol of the insularity and narrow-mindedness of certain right wing sites, shutting off everything which does not fit their ideology. Unfortunately this is not only true for polls ( we will learn tomorrow anyway what is right or wrong by the only thing which counts, the votes, but also for events in the world around us. And this is much more frightening, because we have to accept facts in the world arround us as they are and now as we want them to be if we want to deal with them in an appropriate manner.

Well here we go…….Pollsters will cover there butts. Now that there are only 3 days left the pollsters will try and throw some legit numbers out there. If they do not, they will have no credibility going into the future elections. It is clear the weighting formula they have used this year is way off base. They have consistently underestimated the democrat support for McCain, likewise they have over estimated and counted youth turnout. Thus giving us the best possible Obama numbers. Truth is McCain is probably up between 4% – 8% nationwide, and McCain will win all of the former Bush states except New Mexico and New Hampshire. However McCain will win Pennsylvania by 2% maybe more. It will be a wonderful day on election night to watch all of the Obamedia faces as the actual raw vote totals are coming in, and it shows a huge McCain win. No doubt from that point forward we will here a non-stop drum beat on how racist america really is, and how we had no idea to the extent of the racism in this country. Blame America first crowd will help echo this sentiment.
I hope my thoughts are true, and I hope day after the election we have a president named John McCain.
But I could be totally wrong……only time not the media will tell
