Ruin Your Health With the Obama Stimulus Plan: Betsy McCaughey

Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) — Republican Senators are questioning whether President Barack Obama’s stimulus bill contains the right mix of tax breaks and cash infusions to jump-start the economy.

Tragically, no one from either party is objecting to the health provisions slipped in without discussion. These provisions reflect the handiwork of Tom Daschle, until recently the nominee to head the Health and Human Services Department.

Senators should read these provisions and vote against them because they are dangerous to your health. (Page numbers refer to H.R. 1 EH, pdf version).

The bill’s health rules will affect “every individual in the United States” (445, 454, 479). Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system. Having electronic medical records at your fingertips, easily transferred to a hospital, is beneficial. It will help avoid duplicate tests and errors.

But the bill goes further. One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments (Read The Full Article)

Glenn Beck : The Road To Socialism

// February 5th, 2009 // No Comments » // ECONOMY

Glenn Beck says, “Our very country is at stake.” In this short video clip Beck reveals that Obama is taking us down the road to socialism. He’s right on. Below the video I have included the transcript. Watch Beck as, “When did socialism become a happy thing for us?” .

GLENN BECK, HOST: Hey, does anybody notice this crazy thing that we’re on the road to socialism? I’m just saying. Wow. We got — we got the SCHIPs thing going for us. That’s great. There is the change that we were all hoping for, really, seriously.

Hey, I got an idea. If we’re going down the road to socialism, I mean, why not really go for it, huh?

(MUSIC)

BECK: Comrades, good news from the western front, our glorious revolution is starting to take hold. Oh, the revolution of change. Our fearless leader has just signed in SCHIPs, and earlier today, he spoke out against capitalism. Listen up.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

OBAMA: As part of the reforms we’re announcing today, top executives at firms receiving extraordinary help from U.S. taxpayers will have their compensation capped at $500,000, a fraction of the salaries that have been reported recently.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BECK: Now, those capitalists will say that the mother country shouldn’t decide anyone’s salary, only because, you know those capitalists will say they shouldn’t have been bailed out in the first place. But what would you expect a capitalist to say?

Also in the news today, our workers are uniting. They’re in the nation’s capital to improve the life of you. The average worker with a union card check. That way, you can unionize everything. Now again, the capitalists will say, “Oh, gee, that’s wrong, because secret ballots are part of the American way of life.” Of course, they would say that! But I remind you, what do they know about their way of life?

Good heavens! What? Could we stop the music? What the heck is happening to us? I’m watching — I’m listening to the president just a few minutes ago, and I’m like — you got to be kidding me, right? I mean, this is just the first step. Oh, good. Well, let’s not even debate it; let’s just rush it in on an emergency.

Tonight — I’m going to tie some of these things together — how the government is moving to nationalize our banks. Does that sound like a good idea to anybody? We’re setting salary caps for bailed-out company executives, and let me tell you something — this one I’m actually for. But wait until you hear me explain it.

The dangers of the union card check tonight. The move towards universal healthcare, insuring the SCHIPs to insure kids — kids, by the way, now defined by our government as people who are 30 years old. If that’s my kid, get the hell out of my house.

(LAUGHTER)

BECK: You might say, “Oh, Glenn, that’s crazy talk, they’re still our children.” No, they’re not! You live in my house and you need my insurance, get the hell out of my house and get a job, deadbeat! But maybe that’s just me.

I’m going to show you how all of these things — Aaron (ph), I just love you. I wanted to show you how these things are happening today and they line up with some of the goings-on in history’s worst socialist- fascist countries. When did socialism become a happy thing for us? These people may not be taking us on the same road that fascist dictators took the rest of the world on a long time ago, but they’re using the same tactics and the same propaganda.

Our very country is at stake when people use emergencies to quickly shove down programs down our throats without any discussion. But why would I — why would I expect otherwise? After all, isn’t it global warming? They all say, “Oh, the discussion is over, you flat-earther, you holocaust denier.”

House Republicans Say No To Pork Plan

// January 29th, 2009 // 2 Comments » // ECONOMY

For sometime I have been considering leaving the Republican party. As Obama mania grows throughout the country I have feared that the Republicans would continue to forsake conservative values and choose popularity over principle.

After hearing the news that not a single Republican voted for the Obama pork plan I have reconsidered leaving the party…for now. This was the right thing to do! This is no stimulus. The only thing it stimulates is the coffers of the democrat’s, lobbyists and special interests. This plan does nothing for you or me. It’s irresponsible and insulting.

I hope the GOP continues to do the right thing. While I am optimistic that they may have finally come to their senses, I will continue to watch their actions throughout Obama’s term.

Though Obama’s plan will ultimately get passed after a Senate vote, the finger cannot be pointed at the House Republicans when this thing fails.

Great Job House Republicans. I hope the GOP  Senate follows suit.

Obama Inauguration Tops $150 Million

// January 15th, 2009 // 1 Comment » // ECONOMY

When 42 million was spent on Bush’s inauguration the media went ballistic. They were outraged by the “waste” of government funds. Surly the media will take Obama to task as the cost of his inauguration is expected to exceed 150 million, making it the most expensive inauguration in American history. Surly Obama will not allow this waste of taxpayers money to occur in this economic crisis in which we are all waiting for him to save us from. Surly I’m wrong on both accounts. The media has said nothing about the 150 million other than excusing the expenditures because of the historic importance of the event. Obama has said nothing of the waste either. So much for change you can believe in.

Imagine what can be done with $150 million. How many people could we keep in their homes? How many mouths could we feed? As many Americans lose their jobs, Obama and his media groupies are prepared to throw away $150 million.

There is no excuse for this kind of irresponsible waste of money. I lose more respect for Obama with each passing day.

Obama’s America, “Only Government”

// January 10th, 2009 // 1 Comment » // ECONOMY

I never thought I’d hear a President say that “Only Government” can solve our problems. The answer has never been the government. In reality the Government is all to often the cause of our problems, especially when it comes to the current economy.

As we endure the next for years I suppose we will have to get used to an Only Government mentality in America. Listening to liberals and Obama you’d think that American ingenuity and resolve never got us anywhere. I’m sure they are amazed that America has survived this long with limited government interference.

The left deadheads have made Obama out to be some kind of economic genius but, if you ask me the more I hear from Obama the more I’m convinced that he has no idea what he’s doing. How on earth do you spend your way out of this economic situation? This man is going to destroy the value of the dollar. We need to stop spending! Stop creating useless programs in order to push a liberal agenda. We need to cut taxes across the board. Let people take home what they make. No more bailouts. They haven’t worked. Stop investing in failing businesses.

Let’s remember that this all started because of the bad choices made by Barney Frank and his comrades concerning the housing market. Right around the start of the mortgage crisis, gas prices were climbing to outrageous rates. You can’t deny that gas prices had a huge impact on our economy. And surprise, surprise, they are on their way up again.

Obama’s plan will not work. His plan will only strengthen the government while weaking the American people. Then again, maybe that’s his plan.

Congress Gets Pay Raise As Americans Face Bad Economy

// December 21st, 2008 // No Comments » // ECONOMY, POLITICAL ARENA

The very people that helped cause the bad economy that we are facing are due to get a $4,700 dollar raise. That my friends is B.S. When are the American people going to hold these idiots accountable for what they do?

During the argument for the now failed $750 billion dollar bailout Congress brainwashed Americans into hating CEOs everywhere. They demanded pay cuts for all CEOs in any sector of business that was receiving a bailout or failing. It’s high time for a pay cut for these bastards in Congress!

Congressmen make an average of $169 thousand a year. Pelosi makes $217 thousand a year. Are you freaking kidding me? They punish CEOs for failing, yet our country has a 10 trillion dollar debt. If that’s not failure I don’t know what is.

The raises take affect in January. Do you think these selfish thieves will even consider turning down the raise? There may be a few that will turn it down in order to score political points, but as a whole these liberal windbags will gladly take OUR money to the tune of 2.5 million dollars!

Outraged yet?

Don’t Get Used To Low Gas Prices; Iran Seeks Cut In Opec Production

// December 15th, 2008 // No Comments » // ECONOMY, ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

When we hit $4.00 a gallon for gas the American people threw all their environmental cares out the window and called for more drilling for oil. Now that gas has gone back down to $1.70 or so per gallon the sigh of relief maybe short lived. According to FOX News those lovable Iranians miss the high oil prices. The Iranian Oil Ministry says Iran is proposing a production cut of around 2 million barrels per day.

It may be time to dust off your Drill Here, Drill Now bumper sticker. What most people forget is that this is all about supply and demand. If the Iranians can reduce the oil supply prices will go up. That’s the cost for doing business with our enemy.

Some of you who are more liberal minded may say, “that’s why we need to use less oil”, or “that’s why we need hybrid vehicles and alternative fuels.” Here is my reply, I DON’T WANT TO USE LESS OIL! I DON’T WANT A SISSY HYBRID CAR! I DON’T WANT TO USE ETHANOL! I want to drive the biggest car I can just to spite all of the environmentalist freaks. Whenever I see a hybrid on the road I get right in front of them and lay on the gas so as to expel my harmful carbon emissions their way.

Don’t be lulled by the present low gas prices. They will be rising again soon. Now is the time to continue to push for more drilling.

Republicans Get It Right; Auto Bailout Fails

// December 12th, 2008 // 2 Comments » // ECONOMY

There will be no bailout for the Big Three automakers thanks to the Republicans. IT’S ABOUT TIME! Finally, someone had enough sense to say NO! Since the $750 billion dollar bailout (which has in my opinion failed) companies across America want a handout as well.

It’s okay to let a company fail. That’s what leads to better companies. If you continue to give money to these companies so they can float by and not correct their mistakes you are only encouraging failure. If I under perform at my workplace I don’t get a raise for the poor performance. I get shown the door.

These bailouts are making our country weak and it’s people dependant on the government rather than self-determination and will.  We don’t need a car czar, we need responsible CEO’s. We don’t need hybrid cars, we need less CAFE standards. We don’t need more government, WE NEED LESS.

Will the stock market react poorly? Yes, it’ll be bad. We will rebound though! These bailout addicts forget that this is America. We are at our best when the outlook is bleak.

Do I feel bad if people lose their jobs. Yes, but I don’t think it will be as bad as you may think. The bailout didn’t pass today, but it will be voted on again after the New Year. If it comes to it Bush may make good on his promise of using the TARP funds if the bailout doesn’t pass.

Barney Frank Wants To Increase Spending And Raise Taxes

// October 22nd, 2008 // No Comments » // ECONOMY

Barney Frank wants to screw you over again. As if he didn’t screw America over enough with his part in the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mess, now he wants to really stick it to you. You need to watch this video as this fat idiot says that we need to increase government spending and raise taxes. Can we really afford these idiots in Washington anymore?

Video: O’Reilly Calls Out Barney Frank Over Who’s To Blame For Economic Crisis

// October 3rd, 2008 // 5 Comments » // ECONOMY

ALL AMERICAN’S SHOULD WATCH THIS VIDEO. Bill O’Reilly slugs it out with the blundering Barney Frank over the economic crisis. Watching this I came to the realization that it was a good thing for Barney that the interview wasn’t in person. O’Reilly looked ready to jump up and strangle him as he still will not admit that he has a hand in causing the crisis. Thanks for taking pigs like Barney Frank to the woodshed O’Reilly. Keep it up!
