Rush Limbaugh Under Attack By Dems

// January 28th, 2009 // 6 Comments » // 2009-2010, POLITICAL ARENA

The silencing of dissent has begun. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has started a petition against Rush Limbaugh. The DCCC is attacking Rush over the following comment:

“If I wanted Obama to succeed, I’d be happy the Republicans have laid down,” Limbaugh said last week. “I don’t want this to work. So I’m thinking of replying to this guy, say ‘okay, I’ll send you a response, but I don’t need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails’.”

Unsurprisingly these liberals have taken Rush’s comments out of context. When Rush says “I hope he fails.”, he is speaking of Obama’s policies and Obama’s war on prosperity. If Obama seeks to push his socialist and liberal agenda, for the good of the country he must fail.

These democrats along with the new administration including Obama himself have begun laying the groundwork for censorship and the silencing of dissent. The “fairness” doctrine is not far away! I never thought I’d hear the President of The United States attack a private citizen. Obama told GOP leaders, “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.” In other words he is saying, Stop listening to alternative view points. Didn’t Obama say that he was open to all ideas? So much for change. I’ll tell you one thing that won’t change. No one, including the President is going to tell me who to listen to.

We can’t allow voices such as Rush, Hannity and Levin to be silenced. When these liberal cowards attack Rush they attack conservatives as a whole. You can stand with Rush. Over at RushLimbaugh.com Rush has a link to the DCCC petition page asking those who wish to send a message of love and support to him via the petition. Love it Rush! In addition Rush has started a reverse petition again via the DCCC’s own website. You can follow the links over at RushLimbaugh.com. We have also provided the links below. THE FIGHT FOR CONSERVATIVE VALUES IS ON!

Rush Responds to Democrat E-mail Petition Against Him:
“I am greatly puzzled. Why would the Democrats petition against me if I am doing such terrible damage to the GOP? Click here to send messages of love, hope and change TO ME via this petition!”

Reverse Petition: Click here to tell the DCCC and all other Democrats it is time to stop lying about and distorting Rush’s comments on Barack Obama’s War on Prosperity.

I Want America To Succeed; Not Obama

// January 26th, 2009 // 5 Comments » // POLITICAL ARENA

Unimpressed and  discouraged. That about sums up my feelings after witnessing the first few days of the Obama presidency. Before I explain why, allow me to first answer a question that has been appearing in my reader emails. The question is…you guessed it, “Don’t you want Obama to succeed?” This question has been used by many liberals in order to trip weak conservatives and republicans. Let me make this clear. I WANT AMERICA TO SUCCEED! If America’s future and success means that Obama must fail then so be it. If Obama is allowed to succeed in pushing his liberal agenda in key areas then America will fail. I’ve heard many so-called conservatives express their desire for Obama to succeed, yet Obama’s agenda is the opposite of their supposed beliefs. These weak-minded conservatives have no doubt given their principles up for popularity. They are eager to be accepted by the mainstream media and elite. As for this conservative, I care not if Obama succeeds or fails, but rather if America succeeds or fails. I do not believe our success is wrapped up in one man. Our success is in the hands of the people. Only we can save ourselves, not government. We the people with the help of God can do anything we set our minds to.

That said, you can understand why I am unimpressed and discouraged about the first few days of the Obama presidency. One of his first acts was to enact a pay freeze for senior White House staff. WHAT? They just started? Were they supposed to get a raise after their first day? Come on! How stupid does the administration think we are. This no doubt was a political stunt. I’m for pay freezes across the board for his administration, WHEN IT’S ACTUALLY TIME FOR A RAISE! If Obama really wants to make a statement he should enact a pay freeze or even a pay cut for all of Congress. Oh, I forgot, Congress already voted to give themselves a raise.

Here’s another good one. In an attempt to bring ethics back into government Obama barred officials of his administration from lobbying their former colleagues for the duration of his term. Obama barred former lobbyists from working for agencies they had lobbied within the past two years and required them to recuse themselves from issues they had handled during that time. I’m all for it. Too bad Obama isn’t even enforcing his own policy. William Lynn, who Obama named to become deputy defense secretary has become the exception to the rule. Lynn lobbied for Raytheon Co., a defense contractor, as recently as 2008. When asked about this breach of the new policy White House spokesman Robert Gibbs responded, “Even the toughest rules require reasonable exceptions.” In other words, business as usual. So much for “Change”.

I have never felt so discouraged about the future of America as I did when Obama announced that Guantanamo would be closed within one year. Was I discouraged because I think Gitmo should remain open? No doubt, however, what I found most discouraging was the fact that Obama made it known that he had no idea where to put these terrorists. During the signing ceremony Obama turned to White House Council, Greg Craig and asked if their was a seperate executive order as to how they are going to dispose of the detainees. The answer? We are setting up a process. First concern, Why is Obama signing an executive order if he doesn’t know what’s in it? He wouldn’t have asked the question if he knew what was in the order. Second concern, how do you anounce that you are closing Gitmo without first having a plan as to what you are doing with the terrorists. I prefer to call them terrorists as opposed to detainees. Very discouraging. Let’s just sign executive orders without thinking through the logistics of them. It’s bad enough that these terrorists are going to return to the battlefield so they can fight an administration that has a pre-9/11 mentality, but for the President to sign an executive order without first having a plan of execution. Unacceptable.

Obama also continues to push this huge economic “stimulus” plan. He plans to spend his way out of our current economic crisis. What amazes me is the seeming hypocritical situation Obama has put himself in. During the campaign he pledged to go through the budget line by line and cut programs that don’t work and get rid of wasteful spending. Why is this bill full of wasteful spending? Why don’t we cut taxes for not only all working American, but also businesses. Let’s put capital gains taxes on hold as well. Obama doesn’t have the answer. We will be living in an America like never before. Nationalized banks and health care to boot.

Obama ended the week showing his true colors when it comes to abortion. Obama restored US funding for family planning clinics abroad that give advice on or carry out abortions. That’s right. your tax dollars hard at work. Anyone who calls themselves a Christian should beg God for forgiveness if they voted for Obama.

This is only the beginning. Don’t send me emails saying, “Give Obama a chance.” I won’t sit here and keep my mouth shut in order to appease the liberals in America. If Obama does something right, I’ll take note, but when he is wrong I will take note as well.

Obama Inauguration Tops $150 Million

// January 15th, 2009 // 1 Comment » // ECONOMY

When 42 million was spent on Bush’s inauguration the media went ballistic. They were outraged by the “waste” of government funds. Surly the media will take Obama to task as the cost of his inauguration is expected to exceed 150 million, making it the most expensive inauguration in American history. Surly Obama will not allow this waste of taxpayers money to occur in this economic crisis in which we are all waiting for him to save us from. Surly I’m wrong on both accounts. The media has said nothing about the 150 million other than excusing the expenditures because of the historic importance of the event. Obama has said nothing of the waste either. So much for change you can believe in.

Imagine what can be done with $150 million. How many people could we keep in their homes? How many mouths could we feed? As many Americans lose their jobs, Obama and his media groupies are prepared to throw away $150 million.

There is no excuse for this kind of irresponsible waste of money. I lose more respect for Obama with each passing day.

Obama’s America, “Only Government”

// January 10th, 2009 // 1 Comment » // ECONOMY

I never thought I’d hear a President say that “Only Government” can solve our problems. The answer has never been the government. In reality the Government is all to often the cause of our problems, especially when it comes to the current economy.

As we endure the next for years I suppose we will have to get used to an Only Government mentality in America. Listening to liberals and Obama you’d think that American ingenuity and resolve never got us anywhere. I’m sure they are amazed that America has survived this long with limited government interference.

The left deadheads have made Obama out to be some kind of economic genius but, if you ask me the more I hear from Obama the more I’m convinced that he has no idea what he’s doing. How on earth do you spend your way out of this economic situation? This man is going to destroy the value of the dollar. We need to stop spending! Stop creating useless programs in order to push a liberal agenda. We need to cut taxes across the board. Let people take home what they make. No more bailouts. They haven’t worked. Stop investing in failing businesses.

Let’s remember that this all started because of the bad choices made by Barney Frank and his comrades concerning the housing market. Right around the start of the mortgage crisis, gas prices were climbing to outrageous rates. You can’t deny that gas prices had a huge impact on our economy. And surprise, surprise, they are on their way up again.

Obama’s plan will not work. His plan will only strengthen the government while weaking the American people. Then again, maybe that’s his plan.

The Obama,Emanuel,Blagojevich Connection Means Nothing

// December 24th, 2008 // No Comments » // POLITICAL ARENA

If you’re waiting for Obama or his aides to be taken down by the Blago scandal, don’t hold your breath. There is nothing that can take down this man. As millions worship Obama’s shirtless body in Hawaii they ignore the news that his top aide, chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, had several conversations with Blago and John Harris.

Of course the conversations have been cleared of any involvement with the sale of Obama’s senate seat. It’s somewhat unclear as to how someone as conniving as Rahm Emanuel could have a conversation with two of the most corrupt people in Illinois and there be nothing under par discussed. Given the state of the left today I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised. Obama and Rahm could have been caught standing outside Blago’s office with a bullhorn announcing the sale of his senate seat and the left in America would claim it was in the best interest of the country.

Nothing can touch this man. He can do no wrong in the eyes of the misguided who voted for him. I myself don’t believe Obama was involved in the senate seat scandal. I don’t think he’s that stupid. If he was involved he would have used someone else to do his dirty work, someone like Emanual. But as I said don’t hold your breath. Nothing will come of this.

Pastor Rick Warren To Give Invocation At Obama Inauguration

// December 18th, 2008 // 2 Comments » // POLITICAL ARENA

The liberal community was dismayed to find out that Pastor Rick Warren, who hosted the Saddleback Forum during the election, would be giving the invocation at Obama’s election. Pastor Rick Warren supported Prop 8 in California, Is Pro-life and perhaps his greatest reason for hatred from the left, he believes in God.

Relax liberals. This is an obvious strategic move by Obama, who’s goal is to gain evangelical support for the democrats in the coming years. If Obama had his choice I’m sure he would pick his former pastor of over 20 years Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

I think most evangelicals will see through this ploy by Obama. The evangelicals in America have strong values that Obama does not share, namely the right to life.

As a Christian I hope Pastor Warren does not put this occasion and president-elect before God. My hope is that he reminds the nation as well as Obama that this country was founded on Biblical principals. This has always been a Christian nation. This country has turned it’s back on God. We’ve kicked Him out of our schools and public square all together. We have elevated the selfish lifestyle of homosexuality over the laws of nature. We continue to murder millions of innocent children every year and justify it as a women’s right. I hope Pastor Warren reminds Christians that they are not second class citizens and it’s okay to take a stand.

How Obama Got Elected; Media Malpractice

// November 18th, 2008 // 3 Comments » // POLITICAL ARENA

If you voted for McCain you undoubtedly wonder how America could have voted for Obama knowing the positions that he stood for. The answer has been revealed. Most Obama voters had no idea what Obama stood for. They didn’t even know who is currently in charge of Congress. They only knew what the liberal media told them.

As part of his forthcoming documentary, “Media Malpractice… How Obama Got Elected,” John Ziegler released a new web video along with the findings of a nationwide Zogby poll of Obama voters he commissioned.

Here is a clip from the video

Here’s The Zogby Poll

Zogby Poll

512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points

97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates

Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)

81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

And yet…..

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes

Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her “house,” even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.

Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we “gave” one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

Do you feel like you are living amongst morons yet?

Barack Obama Elected President; What Will This Conservative Do?

// November 5th, 2008 // 3 Comments » // POLITICAL ARENA

If you have visited this site at all it is obvious to you that I was not for Obama. In truth, as a conservative I didn’t even prefer McCain. Once it became clear to me that Obama was far and away liberal I decided that my vote needed to go to McCain as he would keep the country at least in the middle. Not to mention the next president will be selecting several supreme court justices in the next few years.

Now that Obama has won the election some may wonder how a conservative like myself will go about these next four years?

Let me begin by saying that it is a great day for America. Many struggles have been fought for civil rights and no one can deny that the election of the first African-American to the presidency is a historic moment. Though I rejoice with the country in that moral victory, I must admit a feeling of unease. I still do not stand in agreement with president-elect Obama on many issues. I will not take the time to go through the issues as they are well documented throughout this website. Time will tell what direction Barack Obama wants to take this Country. The unease comes from the belief that it will be to the left.

As I enter these next four years with Barack Obama as my president I will not vilify him as his party vilified Bush. That’s not to say that I won’t sound off when and if I disagree with a policy of his. I will respect the office that he holds even if he did not earn my vote. I will pray for him and ask God to guide him and give him wisdom as he leads the greatest country on Earth.

Life goes on. I’ll get up in the morning, go to work and then come home to my loving family. I will continue to trust God and follow his leading in my life. I will continue to uphold conservative values and urge other conservatives to continue on.There will be some big issues for us next year, the fairness doctrine, abortion, and health care to name a few. Don’t lose heart.

MonkeyCrash will take a much needed break for the remainder of the week. Mrs. MonkeyCrash would like her husband back. If you are a frequent visitor please check back here Monday Novermber 10th as we get back in the swing of things. In the meantime, does anyone need some McCain yard signs?

This Youth Says No To Obama

// November 4th, 2008 // 4 Comments » // POLITICAL ARENA

By a High School Student Named Alyssa

I am a high school student who had to write an argumentative paper on anything we wanted. The topic I chose was why we as Americans should not vote for Barack Obama. The information that I have is cited and factual. I did a lot of cross referencing. I think anyone who is undecided or for Barack Obama should read this, and hopefully it will open their eyes.

Why not to vote for Barack Obama

The 2008 Presidential Election is right around the corner. Some people are voting for Senator John McCain, some are voting for Senator Barack Obama, and some are still undecided. Choosing one of these men to run our great country should not be taken lightly, but done very carefully. Those voting for Obama and those undecided should take Senator Barack Obama’s stances into consideration.
One of the many reasons Barack Obama should not be voted for is because of where he stands on abortion. This is a very sensitive issue with many Americans. Not only is Obama pro-choice, he also voted against banning partial-birth abortion which is abortion that can take place after the first trimester in pregnancy up until a day before the baby is delivered. Obama strongly criticized the decision upholding the partial-birth ban by the Supreme Court. He also opposed a bill that would give medical attention to infants mistakenly left alive by abortion in the Illinois state Senate (Washington Post). According to abortionist Dr. Martin Haskell who has performed over 1,000 partial-birth abortions, approximately 80 percent are done for “elective” reasons. Many who are pro-choice might try to argue that the fetus feels no pain at this stage. Professor Robert White, director of the division or neurosurgery and brain research laboratory at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland said “the fetus within this time frame of gestation, 20 weeks and beyond, is fully capable of experiencing pain. Without a doubt, this is a dreadfully painful experience for any such infant subjected to such a surgical procedure.” Abortions and partial-birth abortions are both horrible, but partial-birth abortions are dangerous and horrific. If the woman wanted to have an abortion, why wait until the first trimester is over? If Obama has that little regard for a human life, people need to rethink their support for him. Taking a human life is the worst crime that can be committed.
Barack Obama wants to “spread the wealth around”. Joe Wurzelbacher, a plumber from Ohio, was playing ball with his son when he saw Obama in his neighborhood (New York Times). Joe, who was considering buying the plumbing company he worked for, approached him and asked him, “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?” (Joe Wurzelbacher)”. Obama answered, “It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’vegot a chance for success too. My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody … I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody” (Sen. Barack Obama). “Spreading the wealth around” may sound like a good idea to some, but to others it means not working hard and relying on those with higher incomes for money. We live in America where we have the opportunity to be anything we want to be. Men and women go out, earn money, and are entrepreneurs. We should not havea government that takes from one to giveto another. Senator Obama contradicts his “spread the wealth around” statement by saying “We need to steer clear of this poverty of ambition, where people want to drivefancy cars and wear nice clothes and livein nice apartments but don’t want to work hard to accomplish these things. Everyone should try to realize their full potential.” (Barack Obama). If America is going to become a country where we spread the wealth around, what would the incentive to work hard be? This is America where anyone can be anything and all they want to be.
One more reason not to vote for Barack Obama is because of his relationships with radical people. William “Bill” Ayers was a leader of a homegrown terrorist group called Weatherman during the 1960’s. Ayers summed up the ideals of the organization by saying “Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home. Kill your parents “(Bill Ayers). In his book Fugitive Days Ayers brags that he “participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, of the Capitol building in 1971, and the Pentagon in 1972? (Bill Ayers, Fugitive Days). Ayers and Weatherman were responsible for thirty bombings that were aimed at destroying the United State’s defense and security infrastructures. Ayers said in 2001 “I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough” (Bill Ayers). In his book Fugitive Days, Bill Ayers said on whether or not he might use bombs against the U.S. in the future, “I can’t imagine entirely dismissing the possibility” (Bill Ayers). Even though Ayers admitted to these attacks by saying he was “guilty as sin, free as a bird”, he could not be charged with anything because of improper surveillance. When Barack Obama decided to run for the Illinois Senate in the 1970’s, Bill Ayers welcomed him into his own home, invited neighbors, and helped launch Obama’s campaign. Bill Ayers joined the Woods Fund of Chicago in 1999 and served as director alongside of Obama. Ayers also made presentations to board meetings which were chaired by Obama, and spoke for the Chicago School Reform Collaborative before Obama’s board. Obama and Ayers are neighbors and Obama has spent time in his home, yet Senator Obama says he does not have a relationship with this man and was “ignorant of Mr. Ayers’ past terrorist acts” (Barack Obama). Is this the kind of man we want as president of the United States? Do we want someone who has a relationship with a former terrorist who wishes he would have done more? This is just one of several radical persons who Barack Obama calls his “friends”. Obama said of these relationships “Frankly, when you live the kind of lifestyle that I have, it’s hard to make friends. You take what you can get, and you don’t ask a lot of questions. These guys are the best I could do.” I would hope that our next president could do better.
These are just a few of the many reasons as to why we as Americans should not give our vote to Barack Obama. During his campaign, he has not been clear on where he stands and has not been detailed in any of his viewpoints. He has flip-flopped on so many issues that it’s hard to figure out what he stands for. Obama’s main slogan is “change”. Is this change for the better or the worse? The United States of America is the greatest country in the world. Is change really what we want?

Obama Interview: Promises to Cause Skyrocketing Energy Prices and Bankrupt Coal Industry

// November 3rd, 2008 // No Comments » // POLITICAL ARENA

As if increasing taxes aren’t enough we have now found out that Obama has also promised to bankrupt the coal industry and cause skyrocketing energy prices. The comments were made during an an interview from January 17, 2008 with the San Francisco Chronicle. You might say this is old news, but it’s not and here’s why. When the San Francisco Chronicle published the interview they omitted the comments about Obama wanting to bankrupt the coal industry along with raising energy prices. This audio from the interview has been discovered revealing Obama’s promises.

Barack Obama:

Let me sort of describe my overall policy.

What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else’s out there.

I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.

That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy approaches.

The only thing I’ve said with respect to coal, I haven’t been some coal booster. What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as a (sic) ideological matter as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it.

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It’s just that it will bankrupt them.
