Pastor Rick Warren To Give Invocation At Obama Inauguration

// December 18th, 2008 // 2 Comments » // POLITICAL ARENA

The liberal community was dismayed to find out that Pastor Rick Warren, who hosted the Saddleback Forum during the election, would be giving the invocation at Obama’s election. Pastor Rick Warren supported Prop 8 in California, Is Pro-life and perhaps his greatest reason for hatred from the left, he believes in God.

Relax liberals. This is an obvious strategic move by Obama, who’s goal is to gain evangelical support for the democrats in the coming years. If Obama had his choice I’m sure he would pick his former pastor of over 20 years Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

I think most evangelicals will see through this ploy by Obama. The evangelicals in America have strong values that Obama does not share, namely the right to life.

As a Christian I hope Pastor Warren does not put this occasion and president-elect before God. My hope is that he reminds the nation as well as Obama that this country was founded on Biblical principals. This has always been a Christian nation. This country has turned it’s back on God. We’ve kicked Him out of our schools and public square all together. We have elevated the selfish lifestyle of homosexuality over the laws of nature. We continue to murder millions of innocent children every year and justify it as a women’s right. I hope Pastor Warren reminds Christians that they are not second class citizens and it’s okay to take a stand.

McCain Proves He’s “The One” For November

// August 17th, 2008 // 3 Comments » // POLITICAL ARENA

After watching the “interviews” tonight from the Saddleback Church there is no doubt in my mind that McCain proved that he is far and away the more qualified candidate. Later I will post the complete interview by both McCain and Obama, but for now I wanted to point out the 2 areas I thought that McCain hit home runs.

The first is abortion. There has been much talk of late that McCain had been considering choosing a pro-choice running mate. Tonight He reaffirmed his promise that he is pro-life and that he will have a pro-life presidency. He also made it clear that he believes that life along with human rights starts at conception; in contrast to Obama’s answer that the question of when human life begins is “above his pay grade.” Obama claimed he seeks to reduce the number of abortions and that under Bush’s administration it’s at an all time high. That was a flat out lie. The rate of abortions is actually at an all time low. I’m glad McCain finally reassured conservatives that he will stick by his pro-life promises. I even sent an email to the campaign earlier in the week expressing my concern. Nice job McCain. (more…)

Tonight McCain and Obama will answer questions from Pastor Rick Warren, author of the best-seller “The Purpose-Driven Life,” and Pastor of the Saddleback Church in California.Battle at Saddleback This is not a debate, but instead an interview done by Pastor Warren in which each candidate will be asked the same questions without knowing how the other answered. Obama goes first and then McCain.

Later I will post the questions and answers given by both Obama and McCain.
