Will VP Debate Be Influenced By Moderator To Sell Her Obama Book?

// October 2nd, 2008 // No Comments » // Featured Articles, POLITICAL ARENA

By now Sarah Palin has become accustomed to daily attacks from the media, but is she prepared for what might be an ambush at the VP debate? Gwen Ifill from the PBS program NewsHour, will be moderating the much anticipated VP debate. Ifill is releasing a new book about Obama and other black politicians and the success of the book will undoubtly be tied to the outcome of the 2008 election. Can you sense the conflict of interest?

If Obama wins the election that most certainly means more book sales for Ifill. This has led to growing concerns that Ifill may be biased during the debate and favor Biden over Palin. Due to this obvious conflict of interest Ifill should step down as moderator. This is in the interest of both parties. The moderator should not have an invested interest in the debate.

There is no doubt that Ifill is in the tank of the Dems and will do her best to trip up Palin. Republicans should be used to this. Rarely has there ever been a true neutral moderator at the debates.
